Tigran Hamasyan commemorates the centenary of the Armenian genocide. A heart-rending musical prayer which will touch everyone. Tigran Hamasyan’s concert is first of all a duty of remembrance.
In commemoration of the centenary of this tragedy in 1915, this immense pianist wanted to record a musical tribute as a requiem of remembrance. The recording features adaptations of several pieces from the classical Armenian repertoire, notably from 15th and 16th century religious music.
These works will be performed at a hundred concerts throughout the world, where Tigran will be accompanied by 24 Armenian singers. A unique and heart-rending moment at the Auditorium.
In co-production with the festival Jazz à Vienne and Rhino Jazz(s) Festival.
